Backup testing, be proactive!

I wanted to pass on this article from the London Free Press regarding backup systems and testing because it was not only a great article, but I truly believe your office is as good as your proven backup system. It only takes once, and you will know what a system failure can do to your stress level. This past year I had a main harddrive in my computer fail without warning, and because I had a tested system, a complete loss was avoided. I did lose some time to reinstall a few programs, but client files and my work were not lost.
I encourage you – before it happens, to put together a healthy backup procedure and test it periodically, just to make sure all systems are a go.
If you want to refer a colleague or friend to the article, here is a link to the pdf. All credit to David Canton for reminding us that disaster will strike at some point – we just need to be ready.
Happy proactive backup!
