  • You may have noticed that videos around here have been getting higher and higher quality.

I don’t just mean the cool content from WordPress.tv, but the video player and video/audio quality itself.

We’ve rewritten how videos work here on WordPress.com from the ground-up and taken inspiration from the great products at Vimeo and Smugmug, and are pleased to formally offer our video upgrade to everyone.

  • Visage Login allows you to easily and safely customize your Mac OS X login screen. Visage keeps track of Apple's default settings for every customization, so you can easily switch back to the original settings at any time.

You can add custom images, add a text message, add an Acceptable Use Policy and change the host information displayed. The host information can display the current date and time, Directory Services (network accounts) status, IP address, system version, host name, and more.

If you need to customize the Mac OS X login window, Visage Login is an essential tool!

  • FlexTime makes it simple to send the audio for any routine directly to iTunes. Now you can take your most critical routines with you. Meditate on the plane. Do your Yoga in the airport. Perfect those dance moves in your hotel room.
  • Typecast lets you copy regular audio files from your Mac or the internet into the iTunes Podcast playlist.

Using a simple drag-and-drop interface, you specify the source tracks (episodes), and give your "pseudo-podcast" a name and description. When you click "Send to iTunes," your customized Podcast shows up instantaneously.

  • Keyboard Cleaner comes in handy when you want to clean your keyboard, but you are afraid you might trigger a command or change or delete some of your current work beyond repair and undo. Of course you could save and close everything. Sometimes however, it is just not what you want. Enter Keyboard Cleaner. It shields your desktop and intercepts every keystroke you might accidentally make. Obviously, this is mostly for people who have laptops and can't unplug their keyboards AND do not want to shutdown their laptop to clean the keyboard.
  • Most people getting started with JavaScript these days are faced with the challenging task of picking a library to use, or at least which one to learn first. If you're working for a company chances are they have already chosen a framework for you, in which case the point is somewhat moot. If this is the case and they've chosen MooTools and you're used to jQuery, then this article might still be of some use to you.
