T-Shirt Friday: The ThinkGeek Secret QR Code Shirt
Posted on 10. Apr, 2009 by Kimberly in Blog
On Fridays here at BlueWave Media we try to have a little fun while we work. So we created our “T-shirt Fridays” where we showcase our odd, creative or just plain fun t-shirts. Do you have a t-shirt you love and would like to share with us? Comment below, include a photo or a link to your favourite inspiring T. This week’s t-shirt is in a great free shirt we received from ThinkGeek when we purchased another shirt (which we will show you next week). It is our ThinkGeek Secret QR Code Shirt.
Here is the official ThinkGeek write up:
“We’re guessing your friends and coworkers will think this is one of those stereograms from the 90s. We vote you let them stare at your shirt for at least five minutes, watching them back up, refocus their eyes, stringing them along by asking if they can see the seagulls above the sailboat before you tell them that it’s really a QR Code. Well, okay. Your friends? They’re geeky. They’ll know better. But we bet you can snow the coworkers fersure. Those in the know will go get a mobile phone to point at your shirt and decode the secret message. The others will still be looking for a sailboat. Note to geeks with curves: QR codes are 2D barcodes, not 3D. The shirt scans better flat, and if your body is not flat, pinch the shirt and hold it away from your body to make scanning easier.”
