Terminal Clean-up: Open With
Posted on 19. May, 2009 by Kimberly in mac
One of the ways you can clean up your process during your mac working day is to clean up your “open with” system menu. I hate to admit, but it has been a very long time since I did this myself and I have many, too many, old options still listed. Keeping your mac optimized for work and productivity is a must for coders, designers and developers. This takes a few moments to do and actually provides a noticeable difference.
Copy the code below in one line and paste into your Terminal window:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
